Cesar Chavez Awards
The 2021 Covid pandemic and the lockdowns that came with it necessitated the Cesar Chavez Foundation make their legacy award show go virtual that year. This allowed the award show to get out of the hotel ballroom and showcase the Cesar Chavez Conference Center, as well as the world that this foundation built. Local ABC news anchor Jovana Lara hosted the event and the show was shot around the country. The pre-show consisted of an amazing teenage Mariachi Band that kicked off the night. Radio DJ Dana Cortez hosted the pre-show from her homebase in Arizona.
The honorees were deserving and profiled for their efforts to follow the needs and meet the demands of the society. These honorees were quite praiseworthy, able to tell their stories, and made it so their missions were heard.
The Cesar Chavez Legacy Awards is a wonderful show and a beautiful tribute to the entire Cesar Chavez Foundation.
